Box Office Collection: Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ pockets Rs 39 crore on Day 4; Poised to enter the 200 crore club soon

Box Office Collection: The highly anticipated sequel, “Gadar 2: The Katha Continues,” has taken the Indian box office by storm, following its release on August 11, 2023. The film, a follow-up to the iconic 2001 movie “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” has garnered tremendous attention and enthusiasm from audiences nationwide. Starring Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol as Sakina and Tara Singh, the film’s compelling narrative and powerful performances have catapulted it to record-breaking success.

Impressive monday box office results

Breaking records on its very first Monday, August 14, “Gadar 2” raked in a remarkable Rs 39 crore, showcasing its strong box office potential. The film achieved ₹40.1 crore on its opening day and a commendable ₹43.08 crore on day two and impressive ₹52 crore nett on day three. The film’s total first weekend collection stood at an impressive Rs 173.88 crore, a remarkable feat for a Monday release. With an occupancy rate of 56.58 percent on August 14, the film’s popularity remains unabated.

With the Independence Day holiday on the horizon, “Gadar 2” is poised to achieve further milestones. The film is targeting an ambitious Rs 55 crore on August 15, which would elevate its five-day total to Rs 230 crore, solidifying its status as a box office juggernaut. Despite facing competition from other releases like “OMG 2,” “Gadar 2” remains undeterred in its pursuit of success.

“Gadar 2” storyline 

Gadar 2” continues the saga of Tara Singh, portrayed by Sunny Deol, as he embarks on a daring mission to rescue his son from Pakistan’s clutches. Set against the backdrop of Lahore in 1971, the film effectively brings to life the emotional turmoil and unrelenting determination of Tara Singh in his fight against the forces of hatred between India and Pakistan.
