Sunny Deol discusses his ancient fight with Shah Rukh Khan
If the Khans are said to rule Bollywood on one end, the Deols are not considered far behind. Sunny Deol, is one of the most lauded actors in Bollywood. He is a hardworking person who gives his all to any role he picks. Personally, he is very sentimental due to which he immerses himself in the characters he plays. On the other hand, we have Shah Rukh Khan, the megastar who worked his way to the top of the ladder beginning from the very bottom. The success garnered by both their latest films has kept both stars on similar pedestals as of now. However, there was once a time in history, when both shared a film set and got into an unfortunate disagreement that allegedly separated them for 16 years.
In a recent interview with India TV, Sunny discussed his fight with Shah Rukh Khan long ago on the set of ‘Darr.’ He said what happened back then was nothing more than a ‘childish’ rift. In fact, he also confirmed that everything is well now between the two actors and none of them holds any grudge against the other. Sunny also confessed that the two didn’t talk for 16 years, however, that was not particularly because of their conflict but because he doesn’t socialize much.
The age-long rift that started on the set of Darr
The conflict that began between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan was rooted in the set of the 1993 film ‘Darr’ starring the two stars and Juhi Chawla. It owes its allegiance to one of the scenes from the movie in which SRK stabs Sunny. According to Sunny, the scene was irrational. Concerning the film, he also said that if given the chance he would strike off the mistake called Darr from his career and that he would never work again with Yash Chopra.
