Merry Christmas: Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina Kaif starrer gets new release date; to clash with Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha

The release date for Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Merry Christmas’ has been pushed back for the third time. The film was originally slated to be released on December 23. The date was later changed to December 15. It’s the same day that Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Yodha’ is set to hit cinemas. The release date of ‘Merry Christmas’ has been changed to another one, as of today, October 3. It will now be released in theatres a week earlier.

Merry Christmas gets a new release date

Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif starrer will clash with Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha. He announced the same on his Twitter (currently known as X) account and wrote, “Christmas comes even earlier this year!! Be ready to feel the chills and thrills of #SriramRaghavan‘s #MerryChristmas, now on 8th December, in cinema halls near you.”

About the film            

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi play vital roles in ‘Merry Christmas’ for the first time. Sriram Raghavan, who has previously directed films like as ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Badlapur,’ is directing it. The film was shot in two languages, with many supporting performers. It’s also Katrina Kaif and Sriram Raghavan’s first time in Tamil. Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand co-star in the Hindi version, while Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams co-star in the Tamil version. Pari, a kid actress, is also introduced in the film.

Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will appear in cameo roles. ‘Merry Christmas,’ produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani; Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg, is a cooperation that combines the vision and talents of two people.
