Gadar 2: After 2 decades of patient waiting, Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol marked their huge return on the Big Screen with the blockbuster hit Gadar 2. The film received worldwide appreciation. Ever since then, both the stars have been enjoying the returns of the movie. However, when it comes to financial matters, Ameesha Patel is very particular. The star even sued her own father once for alleged mishandling and misusing of her funds.
A time when Ameesha Patel took her father to the court
Ameesha Patel shared a loving relationship with her father in the past. In fact, their relationship exceeded mere personal bonds as they were tied professionally too. For a long time, Ameesha’s father Amit Patel, managed the actress’s finances. However, their bonds began to weaken from 2004 onwards. The celebrity and her father took their differences to court when Ameesha charged him with mishandling and misusing her funds. She claimed that her father Amit Patel misused her property worth Rs. 12 crores.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress disclosed that her parents had “fooled” her grandmother as well who in fact supported her. She went on to comment, “Why should I feel ashamed? My money belongs to no one but me and not even my parents have the right to take it away.”
