Ponniyin Selvan

This narrative by Kalki Krishnamurthy describes the fight for dominance that took place between AD 900 and AD 950 during the Chozha era. The emperor Sundara Chozhan and his sons Arunmozhivarman and Aaditha Karikalan are the three primary characters in the story. In the movie, Aishwarya Rai was paired with Trisha and Chiyaan Vikram.

Taal

The film “Taal” tells the tale of a little girl named Aishwarya Rai and her folk-singing family who reside in the small village of Chamba. After visiting this location, a young, attractive billionaire (Akshaye Khanna) falls in love with her and vows to marry her. He then leaves for Bombay. Later, the father and daughter travel to Bombay to meet the guy and talk about getting married, but when they arrive, his family humiliates them. They meet Anil Kapoor, the owner of a music and entertainment company, who is captivated by the singer’s daughter’s attractiveness and has a deep affection for the folk singer’s songs.

He vows to elevate Aishwarya to the status of a top vocalist. After a concert, Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya decide to tie the knot, but as time goes on, the girl realizes that her heart still longs for her first love, Akshaye Khanna.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Aishwarya Rai’s character Nandini, a free-spirited yet pampered affluent girl, develops feelings for Sameer, a young man of Italian and Indian descent who comes in to her family’s estate to study music with her father, a royal vocalist, Salman Khan. Even though Nandini is already set up to marry lawyer Vanraj (Ajay Devgan), Sameer still has feelings for her. Feeling heartbroken, Sameer leaves for Italy, but Nandini, who recently got married, keeps writing to him, hoping to find her true love again.

Guru

Following the aspirational life of late 1950s Indian business entrepreneur Gurukanth Desai as he rose to prominence. Guru marries the stunning Sujata for her dowry through luck and slyness, only to realize later that he truly loves her. Desai rises to prominence, but his business practices are questionable, and soon newspaper magnate Gupta—a man of integrity and moral character—is resolved to bring Desai to his knees. The film featured Aishwarya Rai alongside Abhishek Bachchan.

Devdas

The film tells the narrative of Devdas Mukherjee (Shah Rukh Khan), a wealthy law graduate who returns from London to marry his childhood friend Parvati “Paro” (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), and is based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s 1917 novel of the same name.
