Bigg Boss 17: Salman Khan’s top show to premiere on 15 October; Check out contestants list that includes Munnawar Faruqui

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set to make his comeback on television as the host of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 17. The show is back with a new season and new contestant. The most unique thing about this season is the concept of singles vs couples and some of the contestants have been confirmed to participate in the show.

Munawar Faruqui

According to the Bombay Times, Munawar Faruqui, who has spent time in jail — both in real life and on the show Lock Upp — has been signed for Bigg Boss 17. The comedian and a co-performer were arrested after their presentation reportedly offended religious sensitivities. He was detained for 37 days before the judge dismissed the case as ‘vague’. Munawar leveraged the anguish of his experience in the ALTBalaji reality programme to win last year.

Scoop whoop fame Jigna Vora

According to sources close to indianexpress.com, former journalist Jigna Vora, based on whose life the previous show Scoop was based, has been confirmed as a competitor. The crime reporter was imprisoned for his alleged involvement in the murder of another prominent journalist. Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, a biographical book she wrote, was later transformed into a Netflix web show by Hansal Mehta. The series, which starred Karishma Tanna, got praise from all corners, and this might help Jigna create a closer connection with people through Bigg Boss.

Armaan Malik

While we cannot confirm, according to rumours, YouTuber Armaan Malik will appear on the show with his wife Payal Malik. There are also reports that Elvish Yadav’s ex-girlfriend Kirti Mehra and YouTuber Faiz Baloch are in negotiations to appear on the reality show.
