Jai Bhim, a highly praised Tamil film starring Suriya, keeps taking home prestigious honours. The movie has now received five Vikatan Awards, including best actor for Suriya and best film, after taking home the best picture honour at the Filmfare Awards South. Jai Bhim by TJ Gnanavel is a gritty courtroom drama about the struggle for the oppressed and caste discrimination. Suriya portrays real-life attorney Chandru, who devoted his life to advocating for the weak without taking any payment.
Vikatan is a Tamil magazine
A well-known Tamil weekly magazine is called Vikatan. The awards were initially given out a few years ago. The winners were revealed on Twitter. In addition, Jai Bhim received awards for best director for TJ Gnanavel, best supporting actress for Urvashi, and best actress for Lijomol Jose. The sequel is in the development stages, according to the movie’s producer Rajasekar Pandian.
Pandian opened up on Jai Bhim 2
“Yes, as I stated at the film festival, Jai Bhim 2 is unquestionably occurring. The next movie we (2D Entertainment) and TJ Gnanavel are creating has a different script. We will begin working on Jai Bhim 2 when he completes this project. The sequel is merely at the brainstorming phase right now. It requires much planning and study. And there are a lot of stories about Justice Chandru that need to be told,” he was quoted as saying in the paper. However, the director Gnanavel must finish another movie for 2D Entertainment before this one can begin production.
