Honey Singh took 5 years to recover from bipolar disorder and psychotic problems, says ‘kuch problem hai mere dimaag mein’

Honey Singh’s bipolar disorder: Honey Singh the king of rappers is the most popular face in the music industry. There was a time of when his songs used to rule the Indian music world. Honey Singh’s big hit songs like ‘Blue Eyes,’ ‘Brown Rang’ and ‘Desi Kalakar.’ The singer remains in the headlines for his professional or personal life. Recently Honey Singh was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and according to reports he was also depressed for many years because of it.

Honey Singh’s bipolar disorder and psychotic problems

Recently in an interview with Siddharth Kanan confessed the singer confessed that after realising that he had a problem he wanted to fix it. He also shared about the sad part of his coming back after 5 years. He stated people liked my songs but as he gained a lot of weight so they didn’t expect it. He also shared with Siddharth Kannan that  “When I fell ill a lot of things were going on in life. I had the SLAM tour with Shah Rukh Khan. I had worked on a Star Plus project, I chose its name. I designed it for a year. When the show started, a lot of work was there. I was also doing a Punjabi film. A lot of things were happening. When I collapsed, when I had bipolar disorder and psychotic symptoms on set of Raw Star, maine kaha kuch problem hai mere dimaag mein, kuch hogaya hai. Mereko isko theek karne do (I said there is some problem in my brain, something has happened. I want to fix it).”

He also added  “It took me five years, I got better. I then wanted to make music. I told my mother, I’m unable to do anything. She told me, ‘You started as a music producer, start writing beats’. My songs became hits, I was making a comeback, but was facing failures. Mota tha, logo ne kaha, ‘Yeh woh look nahi hai, woh comeback nahi horaha’. Gaana hit horaha tha but mujhe accept nahi karahe the log (I was fat, people said, ‘This isn’t the look, the comeback isn’t happening)’. The songs were hits but people were not accepting me).”

For the uninitiated, Honey Singh released his new remix of the 1990s hit song “Yai Re” from the film Rangeela. Lulia Vantur was seen along with the singer in this remix. Fans loved this song a lot.
