Jaane Jaan Movie Review: Kareena Kapoor Khan made her OTT debut with Netflix’s movie alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. The movie was released on her birthday, 21 September 2023. Fans loved to see the actress in a new and intense avatar as she played the role of a single mother. The movie is based on the Japanese book The Devotion of Suspect X which was written by Keigo Higashino.
The film is a murder mystery that revolves around single mother Maya D’Souza (Kareena Kapoor Khan), socially awkward professor Naren (Jaideep Ahlawat) and Investigative inspector Karan (Vijay Varma). The film cat and mouse chase between the police and the murderer but the unique thing about this movie is instead of finding the murderer the film shows if the murderer will be caught.
Jaideep Ahlawat shows a flawless performance as Professor Naren. He is playing the role of a passionate lover of Maya Mishra and he showed his versatility with his performance. Kareena Kapoor Khan also impressed with her intense performance. She proved that she is a true gem of Bollywood who never fails to give stellar performances. Vijay Varma as Inspector is also impressive and he left a lasting impact with his witty and charming performance.
However, the film shows amazing performances but it lacks logic sometimes. In a scene, Vijay starts doubting Kareena for the killing but they don’t show anything related to that. Some clues about the murderer seem illogical and the mystery is left unsolved several times.
