‘The Kerala Story’ finally releases in theatres after creating a ruckus on social media

The Kerala Story directed by Sudipto Sen was released in cinema halls today (May 05). The film stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani in lead roles and is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The story of the film revolves around three women who come from different parts of Kerala.

Based on true events, the film deals with cases like love jihad, rape, prostitution, recruitment in terrorist organization like Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) growing in Kasaragod, a small town in Kerala. 

The writer has built the story of this film around three women who come from a Hindu family and they are made unsure about their religion and they convert to Islam. The screenplay of the film is based on what happens to all three of them after they convert to Islam and what they are made to do.

Controversy hasn’t stopped since the release of the trailer

Ever since the trailer of this film has been launched in April, the controversy regarding this film is not ending. The film depicts the story of 32 thousand women who are converted to Islam by doing love jihad and recruited to the ISIS.
