Thank God box office collection Day 1: Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh’s comedy drama film Thank God has been released in theatres on the occasion of Diwali. The Indra Kumar directorial is the fourth theatrical release and second as a lead for Ajay Devgn. He was seen in the Runway 34. The film clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu on the Govardhan Pooja Day, which is generally considered as the biggest ticketing day of the year. Ajay Devgn’s Thank God remained as the second choice for the audience as compared to Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu on Diwali day.

Ram Setu remained as the first choice of the audience and both the films had a low advances. But there’s good news that both movies had decent movement in terms of spot-bookings through the day.

The 3 leading multiplex chains contributed Rs. 3.79 crore in the earning of the film. These numbers are not bad in this scenario but it’s not enough to make the makers happy after starring big stars of the Industry. The film is also released on the biggest day of the year so the makers are expecting much but it did not perform well on its opening day. Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra starrer film failed to make it to the top 5 openings of 2022; this is despite being a 2 hero film. The film has to leave a mark during the Diwali period.
Thank God occupied only 25% mark for the day and its one of the lowest occupancies for an A-list film, in a long time. The both films have to work a lot more at the box office.
