Dadasaheb Phalke is known as the ‘Father of Indian Cinema’ to the uninitiated. In 1913, Phalke directed the first full-length Indian feature film, Raja Harishchandra. In his nearly two-decade career as a director, he made a reported 27 short films and over 90 feature films. The film’s cast is yet to be determined. Nitin Kakkar, who will direct the film, has already directed Filmistaan (2012), Mitron (2018), Notebook (2019), Jawaani Jaaneman (2020), and Ram Singh Charlie (2020). It is SS Karthikeya’s debut producing project, after serving as Line Producer on his father’s last smash, RRR.
