Ranbir Kapoor all smiles as Mahesh Babu calls him ‘India’s Best Actor’ at an Animal event; WATCH

During the Animal event, Mahesh Babu said, 'I am a huge Ranbir Kapoor fan and in my opinion he is the best actor in India.'

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie Animal is garnering a lot of attention and the trailer has sparked the excitement among fans. Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol impressed the audience with their rugged and rowdy avatars in the trailer. The promotions are going on for the film and recently the team went to Hyderabad. During Monday night’s Animal promotional event in Hyderabad, guest Mahesh Babu was all praise for the film’s lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor. Mahesh referred to Ranbir as the “best actor of India” as soon as he took the mic. This made Ranbir smile and he was all smiles after earning praise from the south superstar.

Mahesh Babu praises Ranbir Kapoor

Mahesh said that he was a huge fan of Ranbir while sporting a casual blue T-shirt and jeans. “I told him once when I first met him, but I don’t think he really listened.” He said, “I think Ranbir Kapoor is the best actor in India and I am a big fan.” The whole cast of the movie gathered behind Ranbir. Ranbir grinned and appeared moved by Mahesh Babu’s remarks.

Ranbir Kapoor also praised Mahesh Babu. He said, “You were the first superstar Mahesh Babu I ever met. I remember messaging him after watching Okkadu and he replied, I can’t thank you enough for supporting sir.”

Telangana Minister’s speech sparks controversy

Telangana minister Malla Reddy created a stir on the internet with his ‘Telugu people will rule India’ remark during the event. He said to Ranbir in Hindi, “Ranbir ji, aapko ek baat bolna chahta hu. Agla paanch saal mein, poore Hindustan ko, Bollywood, Hollywood, poora ruling karega humara Telugu people. Aap bhi ek saal ke baad Hyderabad shift hona padta. Kyu bole toh Bombay purana ho gaya. Bangalore traffic jam ho gaya. Hindustan mein ek hi city hai woh hai Hyderabad.”
