Priyanka Chopra Jonas hosted the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival‘s opening night on October 27 after arriving in Mumbai a few days before. The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai is the location of the film festival. Priyanka discussed how her life is more than her work at a masterclass session on Sunday at the fest. She said that her career doesn’t consume her entirely.

During the Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival masterclass, Priyanka Chopra was observed conversing with Bhumi Pednekar. Social media users have been able to view videos from the event, one of which features Priyanka talking about how she keeps her personal and professional lives apart.

The actress from Quantico, who has 89.7 million Instagram followers, claimed that being a public figure is difficult and sometimes consumes her entirely. “My job is my job, it’s not my existence, and it’s not my designation. It is not who I am,” she remarked. The actress further added, “Who I am, is a woman that goes home. Who I am is the person that is gonna see my mom right now.” Priyanka revealed that she misses her husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti Marie Jonas. She said, “Who I am, is the person that’s really missing my daughter and my husband. Who I am is that. When I go to work, it’s my job.”

The actress added, “Because our jobs are tough. We’re public people. It can consume you completely. You feel like agar Twitter pe aapke baare mein 1000 log bura bol rahe hain, toh aapki puri zindagi kharaab hai. It’s not true.”
