Katrina Kaif: Fans of Katrina Kaif have received a Christmas present. On Saturday, the actress shared the first poster for Merry Christmas, her upcoming movie with Vijay Sethupathi. The Sriram Raghavan-directed thriller will have a Hindi and Tamil theatrical release in 2023. The movie also includes Pritam’s music. Katrina will be working with actor Vijay and director Sriram for the first time on this suspense movie.

Katrina Kaif shared a poster on her Instagram account and wrote the caption, “We wanted to release the film this Christmas…but there is a TWIST :). See you in cinemas soon! #MerryChristmas”
As she shared the poster, people started commenting on her post. One user wrote, “Merry Christmas! Congratulations”, other user wrote, “super excited”, another wrote, “cannot wait Kat!”
The actress shared the first poster, which features a couple holding up bloodied wine glasses that have smashed. Red blood and broken glass images filled the ambiance, signalling that something will go wrong later. The movie will likely hit theatres early next year, according to the poster.
Merry Christmas is Sriram’s most recent movie following the critically acclaimed Andhadhun (2018) movie with Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte. The director is well-known for his neo-noir suspense thrillers, and this latest work appears to be another with a twist. Vijay was last seen with Anukreethy Vas in the Tamil movie DSP. He will now appear in the filmsViduthalai by Vetrimaaran and Jawan by Atlee. Farzi on Prime Video, starring Shahid Kapoor, will be his first online series.

Katrina was last seen in the movie ‘Phone Booth’ which co-starred Ishan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The actor is also set to star with Salman Khan in the third instalment of the Tiger action series in 2019. Vicky Kaushal and Katrina recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary on December 9. In a secret ceremony attended by only their immediate family and close friends, they were wed in the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan last year.
