Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of famous Veteran actress Late Shri Devi, started her acting journey with the film ‘Dhadak’. This was her debut film, and it was released in 2018. Janhvi showcased her acting prowess in Shashank Khaitan’s directorial venture. After this she played serious roles in many films like Gunjan Saxena, Roohi, Mili. Recently Janhvi was seen in ‘Bawaal’ opposite Varun Dhawan in which she played the role of an epileptic patient. The film was released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime, which received critical acclaim, but the audience did not like it much. After appearing in so many serious characters, Janhvi has once again expressed her desire to do glamorous roles and also wants to be a part of comedy films.

In an interview with Times of India, the ‘Roohi’ actress opened up about the expectations placed on her after doing ‘Dhadak’. Janhvi believes that playing glamorous roles brings immense fame and reach among the audience. Whereas she chose challenging characters in her films as she wanted to test her acting skills.
Janhvi told that she is overwhelmed with the troubles and pain revolving around the characters she has done before. Hence she wants to do some glamorous roles and explore comedy films. The ‘Bawaal’ actress said, “I want to look good and dance a little bit on screen because somewhere along this journey, I forgot that is what comes naturally to me the most. So, I think it is time for me to go back to my natural state for a bit.”

Janhvi Kapoor’s recent appearance was in a song ‘Heart Throb’ from the movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.‘ Her upcoming film is a sports drama called ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,’ helmed by Sharan Sharma. She’s acting alongside Rajkummar Rao in the film. The film is set to release in March 15, 2024.
