Happy Birthday Arijit Singh: Singing sensation Arijit Singh is celebrating his 36th birthday. Arijit is undoubtedly one of the most loved artists in the country. He has sung over 400 songs in different languages till now. But the artist whom everyone loves so much had to once face rejection.

Participated in a reality show, got rejected

Arijit Singh started his singing career in 2005 by participating in a popular singing reality show ‘Fame Gurukul’. At the age of 18, He won millions of hearts with his singing on that show. Even the judges were impressed with his passion for singing but he couldn’t make it to the top 5. He got rejected due to lesser votes which was shocking for the judges and his fans. Kaazi Toqueer was the winner of that season. 

Despite having talent he had to struggle a lot 

His Struggle did not end there. After the reality show, Sanjay Leela Bhansali signed him for the song ‘ Yoon Shabnami’ from his film ‘Saawariya’. But his version never got released. Likewise, Tips company had signed him for an album but it was also not released. Despite his talent and hard work, he had to struggle a lot.

‘Aashiqui 2’ songs made him a singing sensation 

Arijit Singh gave his voice in the song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from the movie ‘Aashiqui 2’ in 2013, which was very much liked by the people. Arijit Singh has lent his voice to most of the songs in the film. The album of this film was the biggest hit of that year, making Arijit an overnight star.

Arijit’s achievement 

Arijit has won a National award for the best playback singer for his song ‘Binte Dil’ from ‘Padmavat’. Not only this, He has won several awards including Filmfare awards, International Indian Film Awards, Screen awards and others.
