Filmfare OTT Awards 2023: Vijay Varma is the man of the hour after his splendid win at the awards night. Among the several winners, Vijay shined the brightest as he nabbed the award for Best Actor due to his gripping performance in the OTT series ‘Dahaad’. The star took to his Instagram to post pictures of himself holding the iconic Filmfare lady in black with a lot of pride and honor. His hard work has finally paid off.
Filmfare OTT Awards 2023: Vijay Varma shines with the Filmfare Award
The most anticipated Filmfare OTT Awards unfurled last night, and it was as glamorous as expected. After the unprecedented times of COVID-19, OTT entertainment gained a tremendous spike in popularity. Consequently, it was only appropriate for Filmfare to bring forth their Awards in the OTT category. Thus, November 26th marked the dawn of the most anticipated awards function where several deserving stars took home the lady in black. Vijay Varma was one of the winners in the function who took home the award for the Best Actor in Dahaad.
Vijay played the character of Anand Swarnkar in the show who was the antagonist. The eerie and deceptive Anand was a psychopathic serial killer who would make young girls fall in love with him and later kill them ruthlessly. Vijay played this role with utter submission to the character. He immersed himself into Anand Swarnakar so intricately that it was difficult to tell them apart. Consequently, this was a much-deserved win for the star who held his stance well against the protagonist, Sonakshi Sinha.
