Akshay Kumar is back in a new avatar for an upcoming film, Mission Raniganj – The Great Bharat Rescue, whose teaser dropped on 7th September 2023. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, this film stars Akshay Kumar, along with, Parineeti Chopra and Kumad Mishra. The Story is based on the collapse of Raniganj Coalfield that took place in 1989. The film is set to release on 6th October 2023.

Pooja Entertainment just dropped the teaser of the film revealing snippets of the film without revealing anything. The tale is about West Bengal’s Raniganj coalfield collapse which took place on 13th November 1989, which is where the teaser starts. Here, Akshay Kumar plays Jaswant Singh Gill, a hero who sets out to save the lives of the trapped miners. This story is about Jaswant Singh Gill, a mining engineer, who saved the lives of 65 miners who got trapped due to a collapse in West Bengal. The movie reflects on his courage, bravery, humility and determination to save people’s lives. Akshay Kumar is seen in the look of this engineer, bringing forth another thoughtful story to the audience. The trailer also showed a gritty image of the miners stuck in the collapse. Moreover, we also get to see Parineeti Chopra in a short scene. Without revealing much, the teaser evokes a sense of anxiety and curiosity.
