Actor Dipessh Kashyap’s practice performance of late Bappi Lahiri’s song from the film DISCO DANCER stirred Rema Lahiri’s emotions.

Dipessh Kashyap rose to prominence with his debut as a singer with Hitz Music Label with the song ‘Tumhe KHOKE’ featuring himself, also presented by Vinod Bhanushali, and followed by various acting projects in 2022.

Dipessh, who believes in experimenting with his skills and exploring new prospects, will soon be seen as an antagonist for the stage musical ‘Disco Dancer – The Musical.’

‘Disco Dancer – The Musical’, which aims to bring back the grandeur of 1980’s, unforgettable songs, disco-style dancing, and unforgettable dialogues for audiences of all generations, is set to premiere in India.
Dipessh was lately rehearsing the song KOI YAHAN WAHAN NACHE NACHE from the film DISCO DANCER, which was composed and sung by BAPPI LAHIRI. Dipessh was paid a visit by Ace singer and composer Bappi Lahiri’s daughter Rema Lahiri and family.

According to the source ,Dipessh’s performance on late Bappi Lahiri’s song at the rehearsal, stirred Rema Lahiri’s emotions, and she couldn’t stop crying as she missed her celebrated father. Dipessh’s performance moved her, and she wished him luck for the upcoming performance.

“As an actor, I just tried to humanize the character and bring it to life with my performance so that the audience can see it as one of their own instead of a work of fiction and I feel Rema ji’s pain,” actor Dipessh says. “Dipessh also became emotional and became overwhelmed with the feelings of missing someone you love most.

Actor Suniel Shetty collaborated with Saregama to bring this project to India. “Disco Dancer – The Musical” will arrive in Mumbai on April 14 at the NSCI dome after sold-out shows at the West End, London.
