Viktoria Apanasenko dubbed her national costume “Warrior of Light” and utilised it to symbolise strength and light. Apanasenko discusses the sentiment and hope she hopes to convey through her traditional clothing in an Instagram post. “The “Warrior of Light” costume personifies Ukrainians’ inner fortitude, as well as our strength, perseverance, and enthusiasm for the independence that runs through us. While creating this outfit, we wanted to express the idea that conflict does not have to deplete our strength and corrupt our emotions.
Ukraine, even in its fiery state, will rise from the ashes like a phoenix, radiating kindness and faith. It also represents every woman who fights for her independence, rights, and future. We are all Warrior of Light,” she stated.

Viktoria was showered with compliments and named the clear winner. Miss Universe will be held on January 14, with participants from more than 80 countries competing for the title.
