Tunisha Sharma revealed battling depression, stress: ‘I was turning into a zombie’

Tunisha Sharma Death: Tunisha Sharma, who committed suicide on Saturday, had previously struggled with depression. Around 2018, the late actor began taking medication. Tunisha Sharma previously stated in an interview that she suffered from anxiety and that she sought treatment for it.

 

Tunisha Sharma spoke about battling depression

In an interview in January 2021 Tunisha said that she has been working since she was a child because she lost her father at a young age. She later lost a few close relatives, including her cousin and grandmother. It had all broken her emotionally. “That is when I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. I remember turning into a zombie when I first started taking medication. I despised going to work. Later, social media began to have an impact on me; I replaced an actor in a show and began receiving hateful comments. “It all took its toll on me.”

Tunisha also stated in the same interview that it was her close friend and co-actor Kanwar Dhillon who helped her cope with the stress. She also referred to him as her best friend, claiming that he was the first person she confided in about her depression while filming Internet Wala Love.

 

Tunisha Sharma death 

On Saturday, Tunisha was discovered dead on the set of her ongoing TV show Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul. A day later, her ex-boyfriend and show co-star Sheezan Khan was arrested on charges of aiding suicide. After appearing in court on Sunday, he was remanded in police custody for four days. Tunisha played the character of Shehzaadi Mariam in the SAB TV show. Sheezan plays Ali Baba in the show.
