Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah director Malav Rajda quits the show after Disha Vadani and Shailesh Lodha; Here’s the reason

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest-running sitcom on television, and it has been tickling the bones of the public for more than 14 years. Over the years, the characters and storyline have won the hearts of audiences and carved out an indelible position. The show depicted the lives of average Indian Co-operative Housing societies extremely accurately. Several cast members of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah left the show throughout the years, and word of their departure spread like wildfire. Malav Rajda, the director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has also announced his departure.

Malav Rajda directed final episode on December 15, 2022

After working on TMKOC for almost 14 years, the show’s director Malav Rajda has announced his departure from the longest-running sitcom. Malav has been a part of the show from its inception and will tape the final episode on December 15, 2022. Following his departure, there were several rumours that Malav left the show due to creative disputes. However, refuting all of these beliefs, Malav Rajda disclosed his true motive for leaving Taarak Mehta.

Malav explained the reason behind leaving the show

Malav explained to Hindustan Times that while shooting for a show, creative disputes occur, but it is always to improve the show. He also stated that he has no issue with the production company and is grateful to TMKOC producer Asit Kumar Modi. The former TMKOC director stated that after 14 years of working on the sitcom, he thought he had reached a plateau. Malav stated that he wanted to grow creatively and push himself, therefore he opted to leave the show. Malav revealed that his 14-year journey has been lovely, and that along with fame and money, he has also found his life partner, Priya Ahuja on the show.
