She played the role of Naira in Yeh Rishta kya kehlata hai from which she received lots of love from audience and gained popularity. She worked in the serial for approximately 8 years. In show, makers showed the track of death of Naira, and Shivangi got the role of Anandi in the iconic socio-drama serial, Balika Vadhu 2. She played the role of Anandi with the co-star Randeep Rai. As per reports, they are in a relationship since last three months and their bond is growing deeper day-by-day. Due to the positive audience reaction to their on-screen chemistry, there have been rumours that Randeep Rai and Shivangi Joshi are actually dating.

The pair rejected this claim whenever it was brought up and maintained their “good friends” stand. According to the sources, the two got along well during their shoot but got into the relationship after the production of their programme was over. They have reportedly been a couple for three months and are going strong. Randeep and Shivangi also manage to spend more time working out together and frequently visit one other’s home, which is a bonus.
Shivangi Joshi and Randeep Rai, however, have rejected this rumour and informed that it is false and that they are unsure of how it came to be. Randeep claimed that Shivangi is one of his select group of close friends.
