Sidhu Moose Wala and Divine’s ‘Chorni’ Hits YouTube: Fans Commemorate the Legends

Sidhu Moose Wala and Divine: The much-anticipated track ‘Chorni’, a collaboration between the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and rapper Divine, is now available for fans to enjoy. Released on Divine’s YouTube channel, the song features Sidhu’s vocals and Divine’s compelling rap. This release marks their second collaboration following their first hit, ‘Moosedrilla’, from Sidhu’s 2021 album ‘Moosetape’.

A Tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala in ‘Chorni’

The song ‘Chorni’ holds special significance as it serves as a tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala, who tragically lost his life in May 2022. Divine honoured Sidhu during one of his live shows earlier this year, previewing a few lines from ‘Chorni’. The song carries a heartfelt tribute from Divine, citing that he learnt authentic hip-hop from legends like Tupac, Nipsey Hussle and Sidhu.

An Ode to Late Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar

Adding to the sentimentality, ‘Chorni’ incorporates a remastered segment of the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s song ‘Chorni Hu Main’ in the background, creating a poignant blend of nostalgia and tribute.

The Resounding Success of ‘Chorni’

Within just three hours of its release, ‘Chorni’ swiftly gathered over one million views. Eager fans, who had been eagerly anticipating this song, filled the comments section with tributes to the late singer.

Remembering Sidhu Moose Wala

Sidhu Moose Wala, the well-loved Punjabi singer, was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29, 2022. ‘Chorni’ marks the fourth song to be released posthumously, following the tracks ‘SYL’, ‘Vaar’, and ‘Mera Na’. While ‘SYL’ was blocked on the video platform shortly after its release in June 2022, ‘Vaar’ and ‘Mera Na’ have been widely received and celebrated.

‘Chorni’ has not only fulfilled fans’ anticipation but also serves as a touching tribute to the late Sidhu Moose Wala, cementing his legacy in the hearts of his fans forever.
