Oscars 2023: The nominees for the 95th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The Oscar nominations voting period began on January 11, 2023 and will end on January 17, 2023. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the official list of Oscar nominees in key categories today. Riz Ahmed, an Oscar-winning actor and producer, hosted the announcement of the 95th Academy Award nominations with Allison Williams in all 23 categories live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. This year’s Oscar nominations are noteworthy for India because four films have been nominated in various categories. Fans in India were expecting for a nomination for SS Rajamouli’s RRR as well.
Naatu Naatu achieves Ocars 2023 nominations
RRR’s famous song Naatu Naatu has been nominated for the 95th Academy Awards 2023 in the category of ‘Best Original Song’ after winning the Golden Globe Awards 2023. Pan Nalin’s Gujarati film Chhello Show (Last Film Show in English) was chosen as India’s official entry for the Best International Feature category at the Oscars, bypassing RRR. However, the crew chose to run for the Academy Awards in a variety of categories, including Best Actor, Best Visual Effects, Best Music, and others. RRR has finally made it to the Oscars in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.
