Ponniyin Selvan 2 OTT rights: Mani Ratnam’s much-awaited film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2′ was released last Friday (April 28) and the collections of the film are breaking records. In the first weekend itself, the film earned Rs 150 crores worldwide. ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is the sequel of its first installment ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ which was also a blockbuster hit and earned almost Rs 500 cr worldwide. ‘PS 1’ was released on September 30, 2022
‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ OTT rights sold!
If reports are to be believed, the OTT rights of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ have been sold for a whopping amount of Rs 125 crores to Amazon Prime Video. ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ is also streaming on the same digital platform.‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ digital release will happen in 45 to 60 days after the theatrical release. Although, the makers have not confirmed anything about it yet.

‘Ponniyin Selavan’ is based on a novel of the same name by the author Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha and Jayam Ravi in the lead roles. The film has been directed by Mani Ratnam. ‘PS’ franchise is Aishwarya’s fourth project with the ace director, while it marks her second collaboration with Chiyaan Vikram.
