Kaikala Satyanarayana: Veteran Tollywood actor, Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away on December 23rd at the age of 87. At his Jubilee Hills home in Hyderabad today, Kaikala Satyanarayana, a renowned actor and former lawmaker, passed away after a illness. His son, two daughters, and wife all survive him.

Long legacy of Kaikala Satyanarayana

Tomorrow, December 24, the final rituals will be performed in the Jubilee Hills Mahaprasthanam Crematorium. He appeared in over 750 films throughout the course of a career spanning six decades. In 1959’s drama Sipayi Koothuru, he made his acting debut. He began by working as NTR’s body double before the renowned actor offered him the part of Kaikala in the 1960 film Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani.

The veteran star was honoured by several members of the South’s film community.

Celebs react to Kaikala’s demise

Ravi Teja took to Twitter to express his grief, “Grief-stricken by the demise of the legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. He is One of the finest actors Indian cinema has ever seen.”

Also, Ram Charan tweeted, “Deeply saddened to hear the demise of Kaikala Satyanarayana Garu.. His contribution to our film industry will be remembered forever !! May his soul rest in peace.”

Nani tweeted, “Kaikala Satyanarayana gaaru…One of my favorite actors from the golden era of Telugu cinema. Mana intlo Manishi la anipistharu. Legendary body of work. Condolences to the family.”

Allu Arjun shared condolence through Twitter, “saddened to hear the demise of Kaikala Satyanarayana Garu.. His contribution to our film industry will be remembered forever !! May his soul rest in peace #kaikalasatyanarayana.”
