2023 Golden Globes: RRR bags two nominations, becomes first Indian film to do so

Golden Globes: SS Rajamouli’s RRR snagged two positions on the esteemed 2023 Golden Globes nominations list that was announced on Monday. The movie is up against All Quiet on the Western Front, Argentina, 1985, Close, and Decision to Leave in the Best Picture – Non-English Language category. The RRR song “Naatu Naatu” is up against “Carolina” from Where the Crawdads Sing, “Ciao Papa” from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, and “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in the category for Best Original Song – Motion Picture.

 

RRR bags two nominations in Golden Globes 

RRR has continued to rule the world by entering the prestigious Hollywood awards season. At the upcoming Golden Globe Awards, which will be held in January, the SS Rajamouli-directed historical drama has been nominated in two categories: Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu, which has developed a life of its own. The movie RRR, which is based on the lives of real-life rebels Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, has gained popularity among audiences worldwide. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR play Raju and Bheem in the movie RRR. Along with British actors Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody, the film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran.

Following the nominations announcement, RRR actor Jr NTR took to Twitter to express his happiness. He tweeted, “Delighted that #RRRMovie has been nominated in two categories at the Golden Globe Awards!
