Wonder Woman 3: According to rumours, the third movie in the Wonder Woman series from filmmaker Patty Jenkins has been rejected by James Gunn and Peter Safran of the New DC Studios.

Wonder Woman 3 permanently rejected?

Wonder Woman 3 is no longer in production at DC Studios as new executives James Gunn and Peter Safran are setting a way of working to free up their schedule for upcoming movies on their to-do list. According to sources, the upcoming Wonder Woman movie does not follow the new guidelines made after careful studio planning. The first two Wonder Woman films, starring Gal Gadot and released in 2017 and 2020, were directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins.

According to some reports, the director was informed of the news after she had already given the studios her plans for the next movie, which Geoff Johns had co-written. Does that suggest Wonder Woman series is over now? No, as actress Gal Gadot just posted on Twitter about how she felt “Grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character and more than anything I’m grateful for YOU. The fans. Can’t wait to share her next chapter with you.”

While the Wonder Woman’s future with this news is still unclear, Matt Reeves’ Batman Universe, starring Robert Pattinson, is not being treated in the same way. As well as creating two spin-off series for the Universe, Matt is presently working on the sequel. Although a rumoured Black Adam sequel is another project that may have a similar future as Wonder Woman. The Dwayne Johnson-starring film, which was expected to start a new form in DCEU, received a lot of buzz, but it only managed to make $385 million globally, while costing more than $190 million only for production.
