About ‘Adipurush’

Directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, “Adipurush” was crafted with a massive budget of over Rs 600 crore. Despite the significant investment, the film’s box office performance fell short of expectations. The epic drama earned a worldwide collection of Rs 390 crore, but this wasn’t enough to recover its production costs. This marked the third major commercial disappointment in Prabhas’ career, following “Saaho” and “Radhe Shyam.”

Adipurush” stirred controversy upon release due to its portrayal of the epic Ramayana and its dialogues. The producers had to revise certain lines in response to the backlash. The film received mixed reviews from critics, and despite its scale and anticipation, it faced challenges at the box office. However, Prabhas’ fans appreciated his performance as Lord Raghava.
