Heeraben Modi: Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan share condolences on demise of PM Modi’s mother, gets criticised by netizens

Heeraben Modi: Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday expressed their condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the passing of his mother Heeraben.

The early hours of Friday saw Heeraben pass away at a hospital in Ahmedabad. She was 100 years old. PM Modi and his siblings did her cremation at Gandhinagar.

SRK and Salman Khan tweets on the demise of PM Modi’s mother

Shahrukh Khan wrote, “Heartfelt condolences to @narendramodi on the loss of his mother Heeraben ji. My family’s prayers are with you sir. May God bless her soul.”

Salman Khan wrote, “Dear Hon. PM Shri Narendrabhai Modi, I can feel your pain as there is no greater loss than loosing one’s mother. May God give u strength at this hour of need .. @narendramodi”

Netizens criticise SRK and Salman

When SRK and Salman Khan tweeted and shared their condolences, people started trolling them. One user wrote in hindi, “Very soon you came to know that the mother of the Honorable Prime Minister of our country has passed away. Shame on people like you who don’t even know what’s going on in the country you eat.” Other one wrote, “What kind of condolence is this? So late, so cold. The Honorable PM is elder to you in both age and position. He is no friend of you. Tahjeeb is what one gets from home, you surely lack that, your tweet certifies that, referring to the Prime Minister this way. Shame.”

Another wrote on Salman Khan’s tweet, “It’s not fair …. Aapko ab time mila hai … dukh ke Samay pichhe rahoge to aapke sath bhi Aesa hi hoga”, other user wrote, “This tweet is from legend , I know Salman is know very well who is Narendra Modi ,That’s why he is not using so called word “ji””

A number of prominent movie figures, including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, and Dharmendra, paid tribute to Hiraben on Friday.
