The 80th Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles on Wednesday. RRR, an Indian film, was nominated for two Golden Globes: Best Original Song and Best Non-English Language Film. After it was released in Hindi on Netflix, the film, directed by SS Rajamouli, became an instant blockbuster in the United States. It won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song but lost in the Non-English Language Film category.
The Banshees of Inisherin received eight nominations, with honours going to Colin Farrell and Martin McDonagh. Eddie and Ryan Murphy, Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett won the awards, respectively.
