Sushant Singh Rajput: A recent revelation claims that even after 2.5 years of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, the apartment where he was discovered dead has still not found a tenant.

After the tragic death of Bollywood’s heartthrob Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020, many controversies, particularly ones involving the Bollywood film industry, emerged. These disputes are still fresh in the minds of fans. However, the owner is doing everything in his power to locate a tenant for the unoccupied flat where he was discovered dead. However, due of its past, nobody wants to move into the house.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s flat didn’t get any tenant after his death

For the past 2.5 years, the Mumbai apartment where the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead has been available for rent. It has yet to find a taker, though. Rafique Merchant, a real estate broker, recently shared a video of a sea-facing apartment and mentioned that it is available for rent at Rs 5 lakh per month.

The broker disclosed that the NRI owner of the apartment was no longer ready to rent out his space to Bollywood stars. They are currently seeking for a corporate individual as a tenant, but nothing appears to be working out so far.

Broker tells why there’s no new tenant in the flat

In an interview, Rafique (Broker) told why there’s no new tenant in the flat, he said, “People are scared to move into this flat. When prospective tenants would hear that this is the same apartment where he died, they would not even visit the flat. Nowadays, people are at least visiting the flat as the news of his death has become old. Yet, the deal is not getting finalised. The owner is also hell-bent and doesn’t want to come down on the rent. If he does, it’ll be sold quickly. Since he’s selling it at the market price, tenants prefer buying some other flat of a similar size in the same area since it would come without the baggage of controversy that this flat is associated with.”

Further he added, “The parties are told in advance that this is where Sushant used to stay. Some people don’t mind the history and want to go for it. But their friends and family members discourage them from going ahead with the deal. Now the owner doesn’t want to rent out the flat to a film celeb, no matter who or how big he or she is. He’s clear that he wants to hand over the flat to a corporate person.”

There were rumours that the apartment is available for rent and that it is having trouble finding a tenant because of the COVID problem last year, around the time of Sushant Singh Rajput’s first death anniversary. According to news reports from the time, Sushant moved into the 3,600 square foot Mont Blanc property in December of 2019 and paid Rs. 4.51 lakhs per month for it.
