Priyanka Chopra has finally disclosed intimate details regarding her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas’s birth. The actress, who has avoided releasing photos of Malti’s face on social media, spoke about her early birth, why she chose surrogacy, and other topics.
According to Priyanka, her child was born a full trimester premature. “I was in the operating room [OR] when she was delivered. She was the size of my hand,” Priyanka continued. “I’ve seen what intensive-care nurses do. They execute God’s plan. Nick and I were both standing nearby while they intubated her. I’m not sure how they found the equipment they needed to intubate her. I wasn’t sure she’d make it,” she continued.

Priyanka Chopra lauded her surrogate
She mentioned that she was unable to bear a child owing to medical concerns. “I had medical difficulties, this was a necessary step, and I’m very grateful I was in a position where I could do this. Our surrogate was extremely helpful, kind, charming, and humorous, and she cared for our darling baby for six months.”
Priyanka and Nick Jonas married in 2018. In a joint Instagram post in January, the couple announced the birth of their first child. Malti Marie was named after their mothers’ middle names.

Priyanka also confirmed in the same interview that a big chunk of her Citadel backstory will be revealed in the Indian version of Citadel, directed by Raj and DK and co-starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She also stars in Jee Le Zaara alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
