Nora Fatehi: A defamation case has been brought by actor Nora Fatehi in Delhi against actress Jacqueline Fernandez.
Jacqueline Fernandez is being accused of defamation by actor Nora Fatehi. Nora Fatehi is said to have made “defamatory imputations against her due to malicious reasons.”
Nora Fatehi said, “Jacqueline Fernandes sought to criminally defame the complainant in order to destroy her career to further her own interests, since they are both working in the same industry and have similar backgrounds, amongst other reasons.”

Nora was questioned in connection with conman Sukesh
In connection with a money laundering case brought against con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned both Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi.
In response to Jacqueline’s written pleading before the PMLA court “she was being falsely implicated by the ED while celebs such as Nora Fatehi who had also received gifts from conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar had been made witnesses,” Nora Fatehi had launched a defamation action against her.
Actress Nora Fatehi denied all accusations and insisted that she was not related to the situation. She insisted that she only interacted with Sukesh Chandrashekhar indirectly, via his partner Lena Maria Paul. The actor continued to deny receiving any gifts from the conman.
Nora names media outlets in the pleas as well
The plea stated, “It is pertinent to mention herein that both the complainant (Nora Fatehi) and the accused (Jacqueline Fernandez) are actresses of foreign origin and both have had their share of struggles in rising to fame in the Indian film industry, hence, it is evident that the act of the accused in dragging the name of the complainant wherein she has no business mentioning the complainant is mala fide in nature.”

Nora Fatehi listed various media outlets in her defamation complaint in addition to Jacqueline Fernandez. She said it had occurred “collective hounding of her by multiple media houses is akin to a mob lynching”, adding to that had happened “at the behest of Jacqueline Fernandes”.
