Known for her unabashed style, Kangana Ranaut, the fiery actress of Bollywood, has once again made headlines. She didn’t hesitate to share her thoughts on the casting choices of Nitesh Tiwari’s forthcoming adaptation of the Ramayana. Kangana, who showcased her impressive acting chops in the spy-thriller “Dhaakad,” is awaiting the release of her directorial debut, “Emergency,” where she portrays former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
Using Instagram stories as her platform, Kangana responded to the circulating news of Ranbir Kapoor starring as Lord Ram in Tiwari’s Ramayana. The film is also rumoured to cast his spouse, Alia Bhatt as Sita, and Kannada sensation, Yash as Ravana.

Ranbir Kapoor: From ‘Lord Shiva’ to ‘Lord Ram’?
Kangana didn’t hold back in her critique of Ranbir, referring to him as a “skinny white rat”. She appeared to question his suitability for such a profound role, citing his past portrayal of Lord Shiva in the underwhelming trilogy, “Brahmastra”. This film, starring Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna, had promised sequels, yet the audience reception seemed lacklustre.
Yash as Lord Ram, not Ravana?
Kangana further made a case for the “KGF” superstar, Yash, stating he fits Valmiki’s description of Lord Ram in terms of complexion, demeanour, and facial features. She vocally disapproved of Yash being cast as Ravana instead of Ram. “No pale-looking druggie soy boy should play Lord Rama… Jai Shri Ram,” she wrote, conveying her strong sentiments on the matter.
This isn’t the first time the outspoken actress has taken a stance on matters of the film industry. But will her views lead to any change in casting or will the film proceed as planned? As the film fraternity and fans wait for an official confirmation, it’s clear that Kangana’s comments have already stirred the pot. We’ll have to wait and see how this saga unfolds.
