Goodbye movie review: Story of a dysfunctional family will make emotional connection with you, Details Inside

Goodbye movie review: Rashmika Mandanna’s Bollywood debut film Goodbye is all set to hit the big screens on 7th October 2022. The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Rashmika and other actors. The film’s trailer grabbed a lot of attention and it looked like a slice-of-life movie with a perfect amount of comedy and family emotions. We didn’t see Big B much on promotions but Rashmika did every possible way to promote the film. During the boycott trend, these questions are very normal that Is Goodbye worth to watch or saying Goodbye will be good to this film? You will find your answers in this review.

Film will make you emotional

The film has the story of Harish (Amitabh Bachchan) and Gayatri (Neena Gupta), and the roles of their kids are played by Rashmika Mandanna, Pavail Gulati and Abhishek Khan, Sahil Mehta.  After growing up, kids are living their life away from their parents. One day, Gayatri dies and the whole family comes together for funeral. The rest of story based on how this dysfunctional family deals with each other during this hard time. Vikas Bahl is known for Queen, Shandaar, and Super 30. Super 30 and Queen were superhit movies. With Goodbye, Vikas has shown his skills in portraying emotional film. There are some light-hearted moments in the film which will make you cry.

Amitabh Bachchan is a legend and he proved it once again. He is 79 years old and he did very well in this film. In the second half of the movie, there’s a 10 minutes scene of Big B but it’s so beautiful that you will not feel bored.  Neena Gupta as Gayatri looks as fresh and beautiful as daisy in the film. Rashmika also looks confident with these great actors. Pavail Gulati, Abhishek Khan and Sahil Mehta have given very impressive performance. Also, comedian-actor Sunil Grover has done a marvelous extended cameo in the film.

There are some negative aspects of the film and these are, the pace of the film is very slow that sometimes you will lose interest. Some jokes break the emotional connection in the first half of the movie. Rashmika speaks Hindi with a south Indian touch.
