Gadar 2 vs Dream Girl: ‘Gadar 2‘ is currently rocking the Indian box office. The film released on August 11, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles. On the first day of release, ‘Gadar 2’ had a bumper opening by earning 40.1 Crore in India. The second week of ‘Gadar 2’ is not even completed and the film has collected a total domestic collection of Rs. 419 crores. With this huge collection the Anil Sharma directorial venture has become the second highest Hindi grosser film of this year.
‘Gadar 2’ was released along with Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ but Sunny Deol‘s film beat it at the box office by a huge margin. ‘Gadar 2′, the sequel to the iconic Bollywood film ‘Gadar’ released in 2001, has garnered a remarkable Rs 284.63 crore within its first week of release. The film has set its sights on an even bigger milestone as it eyes an entry in the 500 crore club with a strong third weekend at the theatres. Amid its impressive run at the box office, ‘Gadar 2’ experienced a slight dip in earnings on its 14th day. On August 24, the movie collected Rs. 8.2 crore in India. ‘Gadar 2’ has a total budget of 60 crore and has entered the 400 crore club making the film one of the highest grossers of 2023.
Dream Girl 2 may hamper the earnings of Gadar 2
Gadar 2 is now about to enter its third week and is rapidly inching towards the 500 crore club. Although ‘Dream Girl 2’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday was released on Friday (August 25) which may hamper the earnings of Sunny Deol’s film. ‘Dream Girl 2’ is the second installment of Ayushmann Khurrana’s blockbuster film ‘Dream Girl’ in which he will be seen playing the iconic character of Pooja once again. The fans were eagerly waiting for the film and everyone has high hopes from this film.
