Box Office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan Creates History on Day 1, Turns Biggest Hindi Grosser Ever!

Shahrukh Khan just graced the theatres with one of the most awaited films of the year. This Shahrukh Khan mass starrer is one of the most talked about Hindi movies of all time, with over lakhs of audience booking for the film in advance. Moreover, the film has already made history as being the second-highest ticket sold for a film in its Hindi version in advance, ranking just behind S. S. Rajamouli’s Bahubali 2, which had about 6.5 lakh pre-bookings. However, Jawan stands behind Bahubali 2, with a whopping number of 5.57 Lakh pre-sold tickets. On top of that, this film beat another SRK starrer, Pathaan, which is currently ranked 3rd.

Since the release of the film, it is no surprise that the film became a blockbuster not only in the country but in the entire world. This movie made history for its opening day collection of a whopping 75 crore in India. The film, released in multiple languages in India, saw over 50% occupancy in its Hindi version and over 80% occupancy in Chennai. The film made 65 crores in the Hindi language, 5 crores in Tamil and 5 crores in Telugu. Already a box office hit in India, this  Atlee movie also did well worldwide, with a total collection of 129 crore. The trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to X to share this news.

The movie made 2.12 Crore in Australia and 39.13 lakh in New Zealand, topping the box office in both countries. However, it is at number 3 in Germany, making a total of 1.30 crore. The movie also made over 4 crores in the USA and is a box office hit in other nations such as the UK and Canada. This achievement marks the first ever Bollywood movie to take off not only in the country but worldwide, topping charts in various countries.
