Is Besharam Rang copied? Pakistani singer Sajjad Ali makes surprising claim

Besharam Rang copied: Ever since it was released, the song Besharam Rang by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has been a hot topic. The choreography of the dance was criticised first by right-wing organisations and a few BJP politicians, and then there was debate over the saffron-colored monokini Deepika was wearing in the video.

Pakistani singer shares a video on Instagram

The Pathaan song appears to have been copied from Sajjad Ali’s own song, “Hum Bichare”, which he released 26 years ago, the Pakistani musician has now claimed. He shared a video on his Instagram account and wrote the caption, “After listening to a new movie’s song, It reminded me of my song I released 26 years ago, Ab Ke Hum Bichare. Enjoy!!”

As he shared the video on Instagram, people started commenting on post. One user wrote, “this sounds like “Besharam Rang” from Pathaan”, other one said, “Bollywood should better pay royalty”, another wrote, “they have ruined the song”.

It is a very different situation outside of India where Pathaan’s release is doubtful. Germany’s advance ticket sales for the movie reportedly set a record high.
