Anupam Kher unveils first look as Rabindranath Tagore in his landmark 538th film; fans say, ‘Omg sir, u actually look like him’

Anupam Kher:  Anupam Kher, one of bollywood’s best known actors, has recently announced his participation in the 538th project for which he is to portray legendary Bengali poet and writer Rabindranath Tagore. On Instagram, the veteran actor showed off a glimpse of his look for the upcoming movie, leading fans to be intrigued and excited. The photo showcases Anupam Kher dressed in a grey ensemble, donning white hair and a beard, making him nearly unrecognizable as he embodies the legendary poet.

In his caption, Anupam Kher expressed his delight in portraying Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and promised to disclose further details about the project in due course. He wrote, “Delighted to portray #Gurudev #RabindranathTagore in my 538th project. Will reveal the details in due course. Yeh mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe gurudev Rabindranath Tagore ko parde par sakar karna ka saubhagya prapt hua hai. Jald hi is film ki adhik jankari aapke sath sanjha karunga.” 

 

Anupam Kher’s upcoming project 

Anupam Kher, a prolific actor with an extensive filmography, is currently juggling multiple projects. In another Instagram post, he revealed his involvement in Anurag Basu’s upcoming anthology film, “Metro In Dino.” The star-studded cast includes notable names such as Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Scheduled for release on March 29, 2024, the film promises to captivate audiences with its diverse and talented ensemble.

Moreover, Anupam Kher is also set to appear in Akshay Roy’s “Vijay 69” and Kangana Ranaut’s directorial venture, “Emergency.” “Vijay 69” is expected to bring an exciting cinematic experience, while “Emergency” revolves around the life of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
